The Rules:

General:
•No swearing, or very little, and never direct it at anyone in your posts.
•Use your common sense; do not spam or agitate other members.
•Respect others and their views and opinions.
•Absolutely NO hate posts/PMs/etc. or harsh critiscism of ANY kind will be tolerated!
•Show courtesy and help others if needed.
•Do not bother me or staff about being chosen for the random prizes. The prizes are, hence, RANDOMLY given out, and only to active members.
•Do not double-post, that's what "Modify Post" is for.

Characters:
•Only create one thread per character, and post all accepted characters under one tracking thread in the trackers board.
•Currently, all characters must be at least 2 years in age.
•Do not create females just to get them pregnaught. I can and will catch you and give you a warning. If it continues, I will have to take more drastic measures....
•Only create as many characters as you can keep active.

Gameplay:
•Females do not have to be accepted into a pod, but you must wait at least 3 days before having them have a calf.
•All posts must be at least 100 words in length. If they are not, staff will give you a warning via the post, if it continues, more severe penalties will be used. This is a literate roleplay site, so your posts must be literate.
•Characters cannot be roleplayed until they are accepted by staff!!!


Bulls [males] Abilities...
•Claim females
•Claim and defend territory
•Challenge other males
•Fight over females, territory, pods, and anything else you want to fight over, as long as it's approved by staff.
•Can claim females without territory, but will remain loners until they find territory.
•Steal females/pods/territory
•Only one territory per male.
•Fight males or females.
•Can force females into their pods (usually only Moonwaters do this)

Cows [females] Abilities...
•Steal males/calves
•Must remain pregnaught for at least 3 days before birthing. You can roleplay the birth, but it cannot be graphic. If you want graphic, do it in PM's.
•Cannot claim territory
•Do not have to be claimed or in a pod to have a calf. However, you must wait at least 3 days after creation before posting a female there.
•Claim/adopt calves.
•Fight males or females.

Calves [young] Abilities...
•Cannot breed at all; males can breed from age two, females can become pregnaught at age two.
•Can run away.
•Can be adopted by females or males
•Males can claim territories and females and steal at age two; females can be claimed at age 1 yr 8 months, and can steal at age 2.
•Can only playfight


Fights:
•Me or a mod will judge the fight; absolutely NO powerplaying of any kind; if you are caught doing such, you automatically lose.
•You get three attacks and 1 dodge.
•You must take damage; don't make your character be invincible, and don't dodge every turn.


Graphics, Signatures, and Avatars:
•Signatures must not be any bigger than 275 x 300. Clickables are encouraged.
•Avatars cannot be any bigger than 100 x 100.
•DO NOT USE IMAGES FROM GOOGLE. ALL IMAGES YOU USE MUST BE STOCK IMAGES, AND YOU MUST GIVE CREDIT TO THE PICTURES' ORIGINAL OWNERS. Almost all images are copyrighted, and we must respect that copyright.
•NO HOTLINKING. Please have all files uploaded to a hoster, like Photobucket or Imageshack.


Splashes:
•Splashes are the currency here, otherwise known as "Money".
• You save up splashes by posting, making or providing things for others such as graphic or poetry shops, and by winning them in contests. If you don't get picked for the random prize giveaway each month, you could always buy what you want from the AF store!
•Breaking the rules can result in loss of spashes.
•Informing AF of important things such as hackers, etc., will result in gaining of splashes as a thanks.
•You cannot have negative splashes unless you lost them in the result of a warning or rule breaking. Shops cannot have "tabs", you either have the savings or you don't.

•If you have a request shop where someone traded their splashes for your gift/service, inform an admin or mod with a message titled like this, "'Example's Shop: 'Member name's' purchase". Include what the person recieved, and how much they promised to give you. Their splash account should be updated immediately.




The Alliances:
•Sunwater - Light ["good"]
•Skywater - Neutral ["in the middle; not 'good' or 'bad'"]
•Moonwater - Dark ["bad"]

Salt and Fresh Water:
•If you create your character to survive in salt water, you may only have them join or live in salt water territories. Same goes for Fresh Water characters; they can only join or live in Fresh Water territories. (Hey! this is a secret spot! If you read this far without skimming, tell Hourglass the underlined words before this spot to obtain a few hundred splashes!)
This is, basically, saying a Saltwater dolphin cannot live in freshwater, as it is very much impossible in the wild, and this site is based on the behavoirs of wild dolphins, porpoises, and whales.
